THE South African National Blood Service (SANBS) has struck gold with its adopt-a-month project, which saw them visiting East London primary schools and motivating pupils to encourage their parents to donate blood.

Seaside home causes outrage

A TRIPLE-storey R2-million seaside home under construction has caused a storm of outrage from a neighbour who says the developer defied an official instruction to not create “aesthetic pollution” on the skyline.

Fire sweeps spaza warehouse

JEALOUSY, poor fire-fighting and faulty wiring were blamed for a warehouse blaze that leapt out of control and destroyed a wholesale business at the weekend.

DISLODGED: About 92 Students from Lovedale FET College in King William's Town were evicted from the Thandolwethu B&B yesterday after they failed to pay to rent since Januarymonths  of unpaid rent.  The evicted students were locked out of the school premises yesterday. The students have no money as they are still waiting for could not pay the rent as they were informed this week that they did not receive the National Student Financial Aid Scheme  funds NSFAS bursary. CLOSE to 100 students at Lovedale Further Education and Training (FET) college were yesterday evicted from a King William’s Town  B&B after months of unpaid rent.
