A family of five was burnt alive in an open bakkie at the weekend while visiting a homestead in Mambalweni, Ntabankulu, Eastern Cape police said on Tuesday.The incident took place on Sunday around 8pm, Colonel Sibongile Soci said. | The family was in the area to pay respects at a family member's grave.
Soci said the same family was attacked in the same area in May 2013 and had their house burnt down. They then moved to a different village.
No arrests had been made, Soci said.
