East London police launched a man-hunt for a suspect believed to have shot a police officer.
The suspect and another were involved in a high-speed chase following a robbery in Beacon Bay.
The chase led to a shootout between police and suspects at Leaches Bay. One suspect was left dead and one police officer injured.
A second suspect remains at large.
Police are using a chopper to find him.
