ANGUS BUCHAN, a Natal farmer of Scottish decent and Faith Like Potatoes movie fame, has included East London in his City Wide 2008 Crusade that has been overflowing all major sports stadiums in South Africa as he preaches the word of God with passion.
Angus is expected to address a capacity crowd in East London’s Absa Stadium on Saturday, October 4.
Tickets are R25 a person. Children under three are admitted free. Tickets are selling fast so get yours as soon as possible from Checkers or Shoprite stores, MTN at Retail Park or online at www.computicket.co.za.
Nobody is expected to be turned away from the event despite rumours that it is sold out being circulated erroneously.
Believers are asked to draw alongside family, friends, colleagues and anyone who needs to hear the Word of God.
Gates will open at 10am and from 11am the crowd will be entertained by some of East London’s leading Christian musicians. Worship will start at about 1.45pm when Joe Niemand will perform prior to “Uncle Angus”, as he is affectionately known, preaching the word.
Angus’s message of faith, hope, repentance and restoration is setting thousands free and as a result the event has been named, “True Freedom in Jesus”.
Arrangements have been made for buses and for disabled persons and details of the drop-off procedures can be obtained from Marius Swart on 0837811569. For general inquiries about the crusade, call Robin Alistoun on 0823279648.
No chairs, umbrellas or glass will be allowed into the stadium, but blankets and cushions can be used.
There is no need to bring refreshments. There will be a variety of refreshments on sale, along with stalls selling Angus Buchan’s books and DVDs.
Just Coffee will be handing out great coffee and Christian gear will be on sale.
The event is being filmed by TBN for later broadcasting throughout Africa and live coverage by Link FM will keep everyone informed. Tune into 97.1 FM.
Parking will be available around the stadium. There will also be parking opposite Border Bears and at Grens Primary School. A shuttle service will run to the stadium from Quigney Baptist Church for those who are experiencing parking problems.
