Trademark picks up his second win in the USA
SARATOGA - Trademark won his second graded stakes race on the turf in the United States this year at the weekend.
The South African bred import ridden by Richard Migliore weaved his runner between horses in the home straight to account for his win in the $200000 Fourstardave Handicap at the Saratoga racetrack.
He settled in at fourth position on the rail tracking Quest Star.
Migliore rallied Trademark off the inside running rail weaving between the pacemakers.
Trademark then battled with Quest Star through the home straight before getting the upper hand.
The gelding showed signs of his talent in his first North American start when he finished a game second to fellow Fourstardave competitor War Zone in the Poker Handicap at Belmont Park on July 5.
Trademark has earned $120000 to date for his 11th career victory in 48 starts, pushing his career bankroll to $493748.
He had lost seven consecutive races in the United Arab Emirates before transferring to the US.
