TAKE YOUR PICK: Two singers will go through to the Idols top 10 at 6.30pm on M-Net tonight. From the top are Andy Milner, Bianca Bronn, Leseli Job, Monde Msuthwana, Poseletso Sejosingoe, Nazneem Leeman, Lwazi Mkhize and Zama Sithole.
Last night Idols junkies saw the third group of the top 32 sing their hearts out, but only a few impressed the judges.
Nineteen-year-old Lesedi Job got the thumbs up from the hard to please panel with her rendition of Georgia on My Mind. The RAU journalism student was told by Dave that "this is what I am looking for".
Wow, high praise from the normally dour recording exec.
Young Nazneem Leeman of Cape Town also got positive feedback from all five judges with Celine Dion's Colour Of My Love. Nazneem was one of the contestants who was disqualified for being too young when she got to the top 75 stage last year.
"Hoo-ha, you are a pop singer. Very good." exclaimed an unusually upbeat Randall.
"I'm relieved you are back. That was fantastic. I loved it," said Dave to a delighted Nazneem.
Another schoolgirl, Zama Sithole, 18, sang You Can't Hurry Love, Dave told her she was a star, Mara said she's groovey and Gareth called her performance awesome. Only Randall was a bit grumpy about Zama.
Don't whinge when your favourites don't get through. Vote, then watch the results show at 6.30pm on M-Net's Open time. A press conference follows on Channel 44.
