R25 000 donation for snow relief

JOHANNESBURG -- Standard Bank yesterday donated R25500 towards disaster relief in the snow-hit areas of the Eastern Cape.

It has also opened an account in Queenstown into which bank staff can donate money.

The bank's Eastern Cape provincial director, Mpumzi Pupuma, said: "The suffering experienced by communities in the EC has touched us, and we felt that as a concerned corporate citizen we had to set an example." -- Sapa
