'Buttman' wins car after wacky dive PORT ELIZABETH -- Dubbed 'Buttman' after he sky-dived naked onto the Grahamstown army's parade on Thursday morning, Port Elizabeth candidate attorney James Reilly, 36, said yesterday he was "thrilled" to have won a Peugot 206 in Radio 5FM's Give-It-Stick competition for the wackiest act. Reilly, who lives in Blue Horizon Bay, was informed of his win live by DJ Mark Gillman on Friday He also won a Speed Stick hamper. Although he has been victim of a few jibes since his fateful jump, an ecstatic Reilly believes "for three minutes of coldness it was worth it," Reilly said a regional magistrate quipped while the court was in session: "Has it thawed out yet and have you checked it to see if it works?" He leapt from the plane wearing only a stick of deodorant bound with tape to his genitals. He said yesterday his own car was "old" and had 230 0000 km on the clock. "This is very welcome," he said of his new prize. He has chosen black as the colour for his new car and will be flying up to Johannesburg soon to receive his prize. -- DDC Stocks & Stats Editorial Entertainment Features Television & Radio Sport Weather Tides Aircraft |
