Owner of stolen dishes sought EAST LONDON -- Police at Mdantsane's Vulindlela police station yesterday called for the owner of several boxes of dishes to come forward after detectives recovered them from two thieves in King William's Town. Captain Lawrence Sigabi said Detective Inspector Vusumzi Njingana and Detective Sergeant Melisiswe Loliwe were driving through the town when they saw two teenagers pilfering boxes from the rear of a truck stopped at an intersection. As the truck pulled off they fled with their loot -- quickly pursued by Njingana and Loliwe, who chased them through a taxi rank. The teenagers dropped the boxes and escaped. The detectives discovered 24 dishes inside the boxes. Anybody who knows to whom the dishes belong should contact King William's Town police on (043) 642-2928. --DDR Stocks & Stats Editorial Entertainment Features Television & Radio Sport Weather Tides Aircraft |
