Everybody loves Yesterday YESTERDAY by the Beatles has claimed the Number one spot in a survey of the 20th century's top pop tunes, the British Broadcasting Corporation said. Yesterday was the cream of a Top 100 list compiled by Radio2 from three sources: listeners who picked their three favourite songs; a panel of songwriters and broadcasters; and records of music sales and airplay. The No 2 song was Star Dust by Hoagy Carmichael, and Paul Simon was next with Bridge Over Troubled Water. White Christmas by Irving Berlin was fourth. Radio 2 was releasing the full list over the long holiday weekend.-- Sapa-AP Stocks & Stats Editorial Entertainment Features Television & Radio Sport Weather Tides Aircraft |
